These are the medals that Boomer won at the 2009 Robogames.
What a crowd!
My first video blog. What do you think?
I have figure out most of the issues. I still need to tweak the mounting of the gun and it will need an ammo feed and magazine. The control program is also not quite ready yet too. The rate of fire is not bad. The gun usually runs on 7.2v. Right now I have it running on 6v.
I have figure out how to hookup a laser to a Robonova-1. I have also figure out how to turn it on and off in side of a program by using remote control inputs! I am very happy as I can think of many cool things to do with a robot that has a laser pointier.
It looks like having the robot go up one step at a time is better than two steps at a time. It is slower but it easier to program the robot to do it. Now I need a quick and easy way to get down the steps.
The water bottle wieghs about 6 pounds. I am trying out different ways to knock over another robot.
That was too easy, the next step is to hook it up to my robot. I can think of all kinds of cool things to do with a laser equipment robot!
I setup my robot to be controlled by a PS/2 controller that I bought at a local Best Buy. Not as hard as it may seem. Trying to remember which button does what is the hardest part.
I am testing my 2 Axis Accelerometer. It sends to the robot controller an integer value between 0 and 280. The program installed in the robot then calls one of two subroutines a get up when on front or get up when on back.
Getting the robot to transfer the dumbbell from one hand to the other is hardier than it looks. Even after months of work the robot will still sometimes drop the dumbbell.
