After the sense of right and wrong, the first thing Leftist moonbattery destroys as it rots away the soul is the sense of humor. But at least this provides laughs for those who haven't yet succumbed. At Huffington Post, humorless moonbats denounce racist pet costumes, only dimly aware that their righteous indignation is even more preposterous than the costumes themselves.
Racist against Chinese:

I found myself in an unusual position last night....I ended up defending the Tea Parties. Now, I don't agree with much of what I THINK they are about. But that being said, I also don't disagree with everything they were saying. I just objected (actually laughed) at the way they were saying it. The number of messages were a little mixed and unclear but that happens when you get that many Americans together to speak out. And the "other" meaning for tea bagging made this a goldmine for comedy.
The facts are these: roughly a quarter of a million Americans turned out across the country (albeit with mixed enthusiasm). They expressed concern about taxes, government spending, big government and deficit spending. They were a mix of socio-economic backgrounds, all ages and even a little bit of support from minority communities. There were some very reasonable people and a few nut cases (like the governor of Texas who wants to succeed from the union...no, not really, if he's talking to media but yes, really if he's talking to the far right Texas voter).
The rallies actually were better behaved than many of the McCain-Palin rallies we saw during the campaign. The issue of deficit spending is a serious issue that I think deserves bi-partisan discussion. (And wait until Obama starts proposing budget cuts to decrease deficits in a couple of years. You will see Democrats go as crazy as Republicans are now.)
The main problem with the protests was the manner in which they were presented to the public. Glenn Beck & Fox News made these a joke before they even started to anyone who was not already pre-disposed to agree with their view. (Can you imagine the uproar from the Right if Keith Olbermann had poured gas on a tied man as the number one news story of the day?) I slowly began to realize that the Tea Party Movement is in danger of becoming the Code Pink of the Right. By this I mean, even if you agree with the message...the messenger becomes the focus! Who listens to the message when you present yourself as a buffoon?
Take a look at these pictures from CODE PINK rallies:
(Bare Breasts against War...that should convince you to end War!)
There are a lot of people that were against the war. But few of them liked or agreed with CODE PINK. The problem with CODE PINK is that they are so "out there" that they can't reach people who don't already agree with them. They are political protest masturbaters (it feels good to them but does nothing for anyone outside the group or their belief set.)
The Tea Party Movement is in danger of having a similar reputation. Look at these photos:
Silly costumes & signs....what's the difference in the methods of CODE PINK and the Tea Baggers?
