Barack Hussein Obama sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for 23 years, condemned people for "clinging to God", condemning Christians for not being the "right kind", and yet Barack Hussein Obama hasn't bothered to go back to church since Jeremiah Wright was outed as a racist-Marxist hater. Pitching Healthcare he trotted out some politically correct and hand selected phony religious con artists and actually said:
"I know that there's been a lot of misinformation in this debate and there are some folks out there who are, frankly, bearing false witness," Obama said
Considering the number of lies spouted by Barack Hussein Obama, as well as his smears against his opponents I am literally shocked. I shouldn't be... but I am.
Dan Spencer : Obama bemoans those who bear ‘false witness’ against Obamacare as he bears ‘false witness’ himself
He said the first thing he wanted to correct was the idea that the proposed overhaul would force some people into different health care plans. “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan,” he said, repeating one of his stock lines.Unfortunately, that Obama “stock line” is not true.
Erick Erickson : God and Gog: It’s Like Christ and Anti-Christ Join Forces on Super Best Friends
“We are God’s partners in matters of life and death,” Obama went on to say.Partners “in life and death.” Really? So this is a tacit admission that Barack Obama’s government is going to play a role in matters of death?
The hubris is overwhelming. And as Goldfarb also points out, if Obama and God are partners in matters of life and death, are the 54% of Americans who oppose Obamacare, soon to be named Godcare, pagan sinners worthy of the wrath of God?

Ace : Obama: Claim that ObamaCare Would Fund Abortions a "Fabrication" and (Wait... for... It...) a "Distraction" Video Update: It Wasn't a Distraction When He Made Promises to Planned Parenthood in 2007
President Barack Obama claimed it is a "fabrication" and "distraction" to say abortion funding is included in the health care reform plans pending in Congress.
...
Obama "knows very well that pro-abortion House and Senate Committees rejected every single amendment to keep abortion funding out of the health care overhaul."
"Instead, the House Energy and Commerce Committee adopted the Capps Amendment, which allows abortion coverage in the public health plan, and subsidizes health plans that cover abortion," he added.

Let Me Be Clear, As I Have Always Said, Abortion Funding is Not in My Health Care Plan, and, As I Have Also Always Said, Abortion Funding is "At the Center and Heart of" My Health Care Plan...

In a question specifically about abortion funding, at Planned Parenthood, he says "reproductive care" which will provide "all essential services" is "at the center and heart" of his plan.

Already this year, Barack Obama has signed several pieces of abortion legislation including funding foreign abortions. He also signed legislation to use taxpayer money to kill embryos in research. And, democrats are pushing legislation that will force healthcare providers to perform abortions even if it violates their moral or religious convictions.

Reps. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., and Bart Stupak, D-Mich., sent a letter warning health insurers that the House Energy and Commerce Committee is "examining executive compensation and other business practices of the health industry."
Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif is a thug.
Here are some Barack Hussein Obama quotes...
"You got into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." -- Barack Obama
"I can no more disown (Jeremiah Wright) than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother - a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe." -- Barack Obama
"I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth." -- Barack Hussein Obama
"This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." -- Barack Hussein Obama
"The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person..." -- Barack Obama

Billions looted from the American tax-payer to fund voter fraud, mortgage fraud, Communism...
Gateway Pundit: Outrage!... Dem's Stimulus Bill Allows $8.5 Billion in Taxpayer Money For ACORN
This radical group worked closely with the Obama campaign during the election. But, the community organizing group was not open about this.
Michelle Malkin : Going on offense against the ACORN conspiracy
“ACORN is a criminal enterprise.”
These are the five simple words that every conservative candidate and officeholder should be repeating often and loudly.
“The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has repeatedly and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud,” according to the report’s executive summary. “Both structurally and operationally, ACORN hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal conspiracy on the part of its directors, to launder federal money in order to pursue a partisan political agenda and to manipulate the American electorate. Emerging accounts of widespread deceit and corruption raise the need for a criminal investigation of ACORN.”
...
* ACORN has evaded taxes, obstructed justice, engaged in self dealing, and aided and abetted a cover-up of the $948.607.50 embezzlement by Dale Rathke, the brother of ACORN founder Wade Rathke.
* ACORN has committed investment fraud, deprived the public of its right to honest services, and engaged in a racketeering enterprise affecting interstate commerce.
* ACORN has committed a conspiracy to defraud the United States by using taxpayer funds for partisan political activities.
* ACORN has submitted false filings to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Labor, in addition to violating the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
* ACORN falsified and concealed facts concerning an illegal transaction between related parties in violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
“It is outrageous that ACORN will be rewarded for its criminal acts by taxpayer money in the stimulus and is being asked to help with the U.S. census,” said Rep. Issa. “This report shines a light on clear criminal conduct and it is abundantly clear that they cannot and should not be trusted with taxpayer dollars.”
IBD : Billions To Stimulate Criminality
A nonprofit group committing a crime conjures up images of terrorist fundraising. But $8.5 billion in taxpayer money may go to specialists in political terror: the tax-exempt scam artists of Acorn.
...
Did Democrats come to their present dominance of both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington thanks in large part to a "syndicate of tax-exempt organizations" that "has coordinated and implemented a nationwide strategy of tax fraud, racketeering, money-laundering and manipulating the American electorate"?
The reams of evidence provided by House Oversight and Government Reform Committee ranking Republican Darrell Issa of California and his GOP colleagues on the panel strongly suggest so.
Their more-than-80-page report charges that the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (Acorn) uses "a complex structure designed to conceal illegal activities" — 361 different entities in 120 cities, 43 states and the District of Columbia, amounting to a "shell game" that "diverts taxpayer and tax-exempt monies into partisan political activities."
The group has over the last 15 years received in excess of $53 million in federal funds. Moreover, as the report warns, "under the Obama administration, Acorn stands to receive a whopping $8.5 billion in available stimulus funds."
...
...a third of the 1.3 million voter registration cards the organization solicited and presented in 2008 ended up being null and void; the group has been investigated for voter registration fraud in places such as Connecticut, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina and Ohio.
...
Superimposed upon these offenses are the alleged embezzlement practices of Dale Rathke, brother of the organization's founder, Wade Rathke, who apparently used a financial management company to "loan" himself over $948,600 in Acorn funds.
...
As the Capital Research Center's Matthew Vadum has documented, $3 billion from the stimulus package, another billion dollars from HUD, and $4.5 billion in Community Development Block Grants look set to come Acorn's way for a total of $8.5 billion.
...
Amidst all this apparent illegality, the campaigns of President Obama, disgraced ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, and Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, are among the beneficiaries of financial contributions from Acorn and its affiliates.
"These actions are a clear violation of numerous tax and election laws," the Issa report charges.
Issa called it "outrageous that Acorn will be rewarded for its criminal acts by taxpayer money in the stimulus and is being asked to help with the U.S. census." He says the organization "cannot and should not be trusted with taxpayer dollars."
Michelle Malkin : Roll call vote on Census director: ACORN applauds
Here’s all you need to know. ACORN approves...
Allan Wall : Mexico's Midterm Elections
In Mexico, every registered voter has an official ID card, complete with photograph, fingerprint and a holographic image. It's not just the existence of the card that's important, but how it is used.
At the Mexican polling station, there is a book containing the photographs of every voter in the precinct. When a Mexican voter presents his card, the poll worker looks up his photo to see if it matches up. If it does, a mark is made next to the photo in the book, and the voter is allowed to cast his ballot.
When I was there on July 5th, a voter's photo ID didn't match up with her photo in the book, because she brought her previous voter ID and not her current card. She wasn't allowed to vote, and had to go home to get her current ID.
After voting, the Mexican voter's thumb ink is applied to his thumb. That way, if he shows up at another polling site to vote, they know he's already voted elsewhere. (The ink wears off after a few days.)
In contrast, U.S. voter registration is a joke.
...
Whenever Americans try to require photo ID, it typically gets opposed by Hispanic activists who say it's discriminatory. That's ironic, since photo ID is a requirement in Mexico, which is the world's biggest Hispanic country.
Gateway Pundit : Claire "ACORN" McCaskill Blames Neighbors For Flipping Bird at Tea Party Protesters
Greyhawk has more thoughts on Claire's "Iraq Vet" defense.Rep. Darrell Issa : Is ACORN Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise? “There are number of legitimate questions raised about the political activities and organizational structure of ACORN. This report is about getting to the truth and when there are significant accusations and questions outstanding regarding an organization that has benefited from millions of taxpayer dollars, those questions should be answered and the truth should be brought to light.”Sweetness & Light : ACORN/ACLU Sue – For Voter Fraud Of course the ACLU would consider an organization that has a long history of systematically submitting fraudulent voter registrations to be ‘constitutionally protected.’ |

Wow, what a busy and fun weekend.
First on Friday, I had the opportunity to help M.C. Jazz in the Woods. It was a perfect evening and there was a great crowd. The music was phenomenol! David Wells, Joyce Cooling and a compilation of jazz artists "The Sax Pack", performed. They were all so nice and easy going. I can't wait to get the cd from this year.
Saturday night I went to the Scottish Highland Games in Riverside. Once again I got to introduce some amazing bands. Tartanic and The Young Dubliners played celtic rock music. The weather again cooperated and the crowd loved the music. I've included a few pics from the night...they were taken on a cell phone so the quality isn't the best.
Our 2009 Production:
Directed by John Rensenhouse
With every successive season we have employed the finest of Kansas City’s theatre artists and artisans, and have unfailingly delivered smart, unique and moving productions. Productions which focus squarely on the playwright, the actor, and powerful storytelling.
It is in that tradition that we offer our next production, a scalding comedy about power, manipulation and Florida real estate: David Mamet’s classic Glengarry Glen Ross.
David Mamet is the author of some of the best-known and most important plays in American theatre, such as American Buffalo, Oleanna and Speed-the-Plow. Throughout his work he has proven himself a master at scripting stories filled with deception, crime and plot-twists. And tying it all together is dialogue written with an acute ear for language and its use in scrabbling for power. As Ben Brantley wrote in the New York Times, “Mr. Mamet hears American scheming with an exactitude and delight still unsurpassed by any other dramatist.”
Glengarry Glen Ross, winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize, is Mamet at the top of his game. The Times’ Frank Rich writes, “…Crackling tension…ferocious comedy and drama. A top American playwright in bristling form.”
And true to our form, the seven actors who will be playing this group of shabby, strutting salesmen will be culled from the very best Kansas City has to offer. We have no doubt that ATKC’s production of Glengarry Glen Ross will provide a funny, powerful, high-octane evening at the theatre.

When I was eleven years old, I decided that I wanted to be a drummer. I started out playing a drum in a local VFW drum corps. The lessons were free and I did something you weren’t supposed to do….I learned how to play a drum roll in two weeks...Wow! I was fast and fascinated. I never thought I could do it. It looked impossible, but WOW! As it turned out, these lessons were just as important as going to Julliard. I was actually being taught the correct way to play. Even though my involvement in drum corps has been a lifetime event, playing, teaching & writing percussion scores, it was mostly an avocation….But learning how to play a drum set was a profession and career! If I was to do this, I had to make a living at it. And so I did. I formed jazz bands, both big and small, and once we were good enough I had no problem finding work. When jazz began die to down, I was hired by a soul group and the full time journey began. This was at a time when Nightclubs and bars with live music were plentiful! These places don’t seem to exist anymore. Now if you want to make it as a band, you must provide your own built-in audience. That’s just plain dumb and lazy on the club owners part. When I started out, you played in the smaller clubs aiming for the better places. This was an incentive to improve, therefore making more money. After all it was Show Business, NOT Show Hobby! People would come from out of state just to see the NYC bands. The added bonuses, as in my case, was when we were playing in a NYC club, people such as Wilson Pickett, Frankie Lymon, The Temptations, Moody Blues or the entire Christmas Rock & Roll show from the Brooklyn Fox would come in, get up on the stage and jam with you! Think about it…All this great talent for just the price of a drink! It was a WIN-WIN situation for both us and the fans…..It was PARTEEEEEEE!!!! So this is why it breaks my heart whenever I come into Penn Station, and see these great talented singers and musicians playing there and being ignored by people. The few that do stop and listen are treated to a great musical experience and do drop some money in the hat. They shouldn’t be made to have to resort to this to eke out a living. I talk to them constantly and find out that some of them have played on hit records and in well known bands. The rest are classically trained musicians on violin, flute, piano….This is NO way for our artists to be treated. If you knew about all the hard work that goes into playing you would agree with me. In many ways you don’t choose music, it chooses YOU!!! I never like going backwards in my life….But I do think that we should wake up the nightclub owners and go back to the way it was because it never should have changed in the first place. You develop your own fans, if they have their own…consider that BONUS points! Come on people, the next time you see a street musician playing in the street or at the Station….Stop and smell the roses and LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!! Oh yeah and drop something in the hat okay?!?!

“We are excited to be a part of the growing Crossroads Art District. We are in debt to the many artists that worked really hard to create the original Crossroads Art stir. We hope to contribute by bringing business to the area on Saturdays,” says KC Art Flea marketer and artist, Michele Bridges. The organizers are nonprofits and are hosting the event to bring public awareness to their services and also support their dual mission of providing new venues and resources to local artists and greater public access to quality arts and cultural events. The event is free to enter and gives the public one on one access to a diverse collective of artists.
The project was test piloted last Nov. - Dec. The market served well over 1,000 customers and supported the efforts of 50 local artist vendors and 2 non-profit arts organizations. With a growing vendor list, the Art Flea is looking to hold 70 vendors each week. Local creatives will bring in a rotating stock of incredible deals on week on Kansas City made art, jewelry, handbags and accessories, furniture, food, one of a kind clothing, soaps, lotions and candles all priced from $1 to $50. The vendors rent the booths for $25 and keep 100 percent of their sales. Visitors can park for free in ArtsTech’s lot.
