SHELTERS TURN AWAY KIDS

The other night you all did a report on the homeless,I believe it was the salvation army or something,it stated that they were full and had to turn away something like 60 kids.My question is why did they not turn away some of the others who had no kids and make room for these 60 kids? You always see it in the movies that women and children are always taken care of first, the men go last, has something changed in our values about who we help first? No one should be out in the cold weather especially kids of any age.I just do not understand turning away kids, they are the most vulnerable and need the help the most !

  • You would think there would be somewhere some option other than turning anyone out.I agree Basehorlady 100%

  • I said in a post a few months ago that I think it would be awesome if some of the surrounding churches from the shelters could open their doors and provide shelter for these people and children.  To be a pastor laying in a warm bed, with a closed, empty warm building that could be opened up, seems like a sin to me.

  • If those already there knew about it, seems like some of them could have offered their places for a few kids.

  • NO, I see them getting beaten to death, stabbed and thrown in garbage bins.

I hate seeing people getting turned away to. But they are only allowed a max of so many people. Apparently, they already had that count.
