RESPECTED IN THE WORLD?

I don't think that this nation will become "more respected in the world" no matter how much or how often Bambi opens his pie hole and attempts to apologize for what he sees as our national shortcomings.

I believe that he is setting America up to be seen as both weak and foolish by the rest of the world.

He is like the guy who stops at the traffic light and gives money to the guy sitting in a wheelchasir holding a "homeless" sign after the guy in the wheelchair gets up out of the chair to walk over to collect a donation.

Fool!

  • nemo - the more I see of you writings the less I think of you as an adult. You are more like a child that keeps sayin "but Mom", but Mom, but Mom" until you wear your mother down.

Come to think of it, I dont believe I will be acknowledging you on this forum any more.

Shoo - go find your Mom.

I hope you realize that I'm smart enough NOT to take your comments out of context.   Back then you seemed very certain that it would be a Clinton/Obama ticket for the Democrats with little chance of them winning.   Know it was a shock!  But the sour grapes is getting a little old.   Argue policy like an adult!

This man, this Bambi, does not rise to the level of Presidential material. Get over it, he's a loser.

He may have you mesmerized but not me.

When you draw the distinction that you are not bashing the office...you're bashing the man...you're being hypocritical.  You are splitting hairs with the same enthusiasm that Bill Clinton did when he tried to claim that a blow job wasn't sex.

    You used to say:

Whether you like it or not George Bush, our commander in chief, was elected by "We The People" whether you voted for him or not. …. I get tired of hearing the sour grapes that come out of one segment of our population because Bush won the presidency.

    jstol3, Jan. 5, 2007

You also once made the statement:

More than anything else we need an electorate that can get behind the person we elect. We need to stop the constant backbiting and Pres bashing that went on through all of the Clinton & Bush years.

    jstol3, July 21, 2007

So, when a conservative is in office, we are to all blindly "go along" and get behind the person we elect.  Anything else is "sour grapes" from the loser.

Now when a liberal president is in office, it's suddenly ok to cry "Bambi", socialist, etc.  (And as I have stated many times, disagree with his policies all you want, but do it respectfully.  Anything else is a dishonor to the office and to the country.  Personal opinion, I know you don't agree but I think it's important that people who read your blog know that many people disagree with you and why they do!)

As to the Letterman question.  I said all along that Letterman was wrong to make the joke.   At one time, there was a blog on this site entitled PALING VS. LETTERMAN where I made that comment several times.  (I don't rank it as the worst thing ever done by an entertainer but it wasn't right to do.  I also stated that I personally believed that Letterman was making the joke about the oldest daughter.  Stupid of him not to make sure that she was there.)

And I urge everyone to go to see the video of that infamous picture that you are talking about.   The picture looks awful, but I will let the readers judge whether they think that's what he was really doing.  (I'm sure you will still continue to believe that he's lecherous, but that's just projection on your part.)

I still think that you said it best when you wrote:

    Confram-
Maybe in your world people call each other names all of the time. If you feel like you need to stoop to that level to try and get your point accross well, so be it! American culture would be far better off if the gutter was not such a convenient place to wallow in.

Nothing like wallowing in the gutter, is there?

One point that you miss here is that I have not bashed the office. I told you on a previous blog that I will but a capital "P" on President if it makes you happy.

I ask you the same question I asked ladyjean. Where is your outrage at the Letterman comments?

Where is your outrage at the lecherous look Bambi gave to a 15 year old's backside?

When you went back and researched the old blogs why not the whole blog along with all of the comments?

I do truly believe that many who helped elect this current President are beginning to see that they made a mistake and that, before four years have passed, they will be bailing out of his camp.

Some will hold on for as long as they can because it IS hard to let go when your hopes were so high. Many of us who lived through the Carter years could see this coming. It is only going to get worse.

Respect? I respect America. I respect the office of President. It is precisely because of that respect that I want this man out of there. He is no uniter. He is a divider who plays the class warfare card at every turn.
