From The Business and Media Institute:
Every time the White House has a new enemy, left-wing Web-based media outlets take up the cause to defend the Obama administration.
Earlier this year when CNBC personalities criticized the Obama administration, the Huffington Post and other components of the left-wing noise machine watched every word said on the financial network an effort that has since petered out. The Huffington Post also asked readers to supply reports to undermine the credibility of the tea party protests that were critical of the Obama administration.
So it should come as no surprise that the Huffington Post is making a call for all hands on deck to aid the White House with its latest feud with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Huffington Post now wants to know who gives money to the Chamber of Commerce.
“Huffington Post wants to find out more about the Chamber's members help us learn more about who is funding the Chamber by telling us what you know,” an Oct. 26 story on HuffingtonPost.com said. “Though their funding comes from membership dues, those are based on size so larger companies end up contributing most of the Chamber's revenue. These amounts are not made public and HuffPo is wondering whether any companies have adjusted their level of support recently? Send us your tips at tips@huffingtonpost.com.”
...The Huffington Post alleged the Chamber has been too secretive by refusing to disclose its donors. However, they have been able to point out associations with a number of corporations based on who sits on the Chamber’s board of directors.
...Why would The Huffington Post want to know who gives money to the Chamber? Perhaps they want to know to try to engineer some sort of boycott against its members, as the left has done with Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck to retaliate against a message they may disagree with.
Who's giving money to the Chamber of Commerce? I have a better question: Who's funding the Huffington Post?
Some of it's public information and some of it isn't. But, isn't it time we found out?
Who is putting money into the Huffington Post? Are they actually getting their money back or are there companies using investor dollars to help the Left? Are there companies you've invested in using your money to prop up the Huffington Post? Are there companies that might respond to a conservative boycott? What about the advertisers? Why is a company like Virgin America advertising on the Huffington Post? I guess they're sending a message: We don't want conservatives to use our airline. What about their other advertisers? Who are they? Do they need conservative customers, too? How much money is Arianna Huffington making? What about her staffers? Who's getting paid and who isn't at the HuffPo?
Let's get answers to these questions. I had a buddy at a prominent think tank asking about this today. I'm sure Fox News would love to know. How about talk radio? Don't you think some of the hosts out there would love to be able to give this information to their listeners?
If you're a blogger and you have any research, send it to John Hawkins at Rightwingnews.com. If you just happen to know some information, forward it on over. Tell him what you know and let's see where it takes us.
JohnKJR, 5 months ago | FlagWell; GM who the hell cares who funds the National Chamber of Commerce? Oh yes; Huffington
post and The White House by Proxy. Once again in Liberal land; the double standard hits just keep comming and comming. Perhaps you could comment to Huffington post that no one cares who is funding the Chamber of Commerce and show for once that it is a two way street?
Former Member , 5 months ago | FlagI fund it, all of it, my measly little paycheck is all I have but I give it all the the Huntington
Post so that the "truth" can be made known to all the world. Really, John, who cares who funds it, no one cares who funds it except those who dont like it, so just ignore it.
