CONSPIRACY THEORIES

This site used to be a lot more fun than it's been of late.   We used to argue policy pretty hot & heavy.   Now we discuss the latest paranoid conspiracy theory from the Right.  

Obama is coming to get you.   He's taking over your internet.  He's going to kill granny!   He's rigging the census with ACORN to do something.  (I haven't quite figured out what yet but I'm sure it's awful!)   He's indoctrinating your children.  We're all going to have to become muslim, commies or socialist (depending upon the phase of the moon and the web site quoted).   He's going to take your guns away.  (Obviously these people haven't been to a town hall lately.)   He's going to get rid of the dollar.   He's really after a one-world-government.   He's going to make reparations to all black people.  He's gay.   He's doing coke in the white house.  He's creating detention camps for right wingers.  He's creating a "list' of dissenters.  He's hired people to flood web sites w/pro-Obama blogs.   He's a terrorist.  His advisors are commies, marxists, liberals, etc.  He was born in Africa.  He's going to create death panels. He's re-instating the Fairness Doctrine to get rid of Rush.  He's signed an executive order to allow the Palestinians to relocate to the US.  He's a eugenicist.  He's closing Republican-owned Chrysler dealerships.  He's building a high-speed train between Disneyland & a Nevada brothel!  (Damn you, Harry Reid!)  He's the anti-christ.

He's.....whatever the latest conspiracy theory is.  And each day they get a little wilder.

Of course, if any of you really believed this was going to happen I have to wonder one thing.   WHY ARE YOU STILL BLOGGING ON THIS SITE?   jstol, you run your blogs all over the country and give interviews on Fox4.   IF THEY WANTED TO GET YOU, IT'S NOT LIKE YOU ARE HARD TO FIND.   Don't you think if Obama was as bad as you say...people like you would quitely disappear?

It's like all the people who insisted he was the anti-christ.  If you really think that Obama is the anti-christ and the tribulation is getting ready to start....why haven't you moved to Northern Alaska to get away from the realm of satan?  Somewhere secluded (like a Canadian mountain top)where you can live off the land and avoid the mark of the beast.  What kind of person are you to remain here with your children if you really believe Obama is that bad.  Maybe it's because it sounds cool when you say it...but you know it's no more true than the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause.

And he really doesn't have to do ANYTHING new to get information on dissent from people like you.   Because we have already given him the power to listen in on your conversations and read your e-mails.  It's called the PATRIOT ACT.   Remember?   He doesn't even need a warrant.   It also gives him the authority to arrest you and hold you for as long as he deems you a threat to the security of the US.   Talk about a law that leaves a lot of wiggle room for interpretation.  You should really hope and pray that this paranoia is just that...because we as a nation have given him the tools to do just about anything.  (And remember, I was saying this during the Bush years too.  Never give a President Bush a power that you wouldn't want a liberal to have.)

Now, I would like to offer you what I am hoping is part of a conspiracy from the Left.   I am hoping that this youtube clip is a fake.    Something that a David Letterman dreamed up and people on the left are promoting as real when it's nothing but a scam.  A liberal conspiracy.  Something with hired actors used by the liberals to humiliate the conseratives.    I am really hoping that this is NOT an actual teabagger rally!   Please dear God, let this be part of a liberal conspiracy plot to marginalize the Right wing....because if this is real, you NEED to be laughed at!  JUST LIKE YOUR CONSPIRACY THEORIES!

He made his name as a radical community organiser that believed in marxism and black liberation theology(sound familiar?)     don't read too much into the fact that I missed the birth certificate controversy.   I thought it was covered by saying he was born in Kenya.


    Maybe Obama is speaking to school children because he thinks it could have an impact on their performance.  Maybe it's because Bill O'Reilly asked him to (which he did).


    And since I generally post on other websites than just this one, I sometimes cover more than is just seen here.


    And I will get around to the "Truther" post of johnkjr.   It's a stupid conspiracy.   I won't even hit on Bush for missing the warnings he received in security briefings...hindsight is 20/20.


    If this particular "czar" was dealing with any kind of investigation into 9/11 (or even general crimes of Bush & co.) I would have a problem with him.  But he's advising on green jobs.  On that, he's an expert.   So his particular rant & rave is stupid but ok in the context of his job description. 


    It's kind of like, I disagree with all of your economic beliefs but I want Obama to hear them.   Your personal beliefs in other areas is inconsequental to your economic expertise.   Now I would probably not think the president needs to hear your advice on conservation, but that's not your field.

    Well said. I too was taken back by some of the new conspiracy theories I learned about through nemos post; thus my sarcasm.


    I think it is becoming clearer that the left is in a panic mode (Good). Why else do people feel compelled to mention theories that have never been discussed on this forum? Why else does the President feel compeled to speak to ALL public school children? Why else do they defend "Truthers" but castigate "Birthers"? Hum.


    I too have a VERY difficult time understanding why Obama won't personally release his own birth certificate, but as I have stated before, I DO trust our court system and if they are satisfied, then so will I be.


    I have noticed that no one from the left is posting on JohnKJR's "Truther" post. And it didn't slip past me that nemo didn't mention the birth certificate as a conspiracy theory; Interesting!

  • Nemo listed a bunch of conspiracy theories that Ive never seen mentioned on this site.I dont know if he made them up or if he has seen them on right wing blogs.....none the less he used those outlandish theories and lumped in the VERY REASONABLE QUESTIONS many of us have about Obamas policies and associations in an attempt to classify them all as one group.


    Its important to note that he never says the statements by Obama or his radical friends arent true(Which sorta kills the conspiracy aspect of his argument),he simply states it doesnt bother HIM.Well, Thats fine and he has a right to his opinion but when he seeks to marginalise(which he  overtly did by lumping wild acusations about Obama in with LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS)people into a group to which they dont belong shows he is desperate to squash what is being said(regardless of the facts) and that he is frightened that the issues with Radicals in the White House may reach many more people and derail Obamas agenda or his re-election in 2012.


    Im not a conspiracy theorist.The closect thing I wrote on my blog that COULD be construde as conspiracy minded is my concern about my computer being attacked while searching Obamas radical friends. i urge all of you to go back and read those statments and notice I was careful not to draw a definite conclusion about my computer troubles.I even stated once that I thought it unlikely.I STILL find it strange and will monitor the situation.


    I guess i could be lumped in with the "birthers" but not because Im CONVINCED Obama is not a citizen.I,like moderate Lou Dobbs have been castigated and lumped in with tin foil hat folks for simply asking......Why not show the LONG FORM CERTIFICATE and put the story to bed once and for all?I know Obama is OUR President and if you remember cprrectly I caught a bunch of flack FROM THE CONSERVATIVES on this site the morning after the election MAKING A CALL FOR US ALL TO COME TOGETHER AND GIVE OBAMA A CHANCE TO IMPLEMENT HIS AGENDA.That was 10 long months ago and I have many questions and concerns about his policies on every front. It DOESNT take a leap from reality to see these policies have been tried and have failed us and other nations in the past.It DOESNT take a leap from reality to see that Obamas policies are FAR LEFT and have distinct similarities to socialism and potentially communism.Take that fact and add to the equasion several OVERTLY COMMUNIST RADICALS in advisory positions in the White House and you can see LEGITIMATE REASONS FOR CONCERN.


    You can look at this with open eyes or you can unfairly and childishly call people names and put them in a box labeled wacko,but when you lack the fcats to overcome these concernes with FACTS.......its probably YOU you are operating under THEORY!

  • One additional point for all, especially nemo, to consider: If it should come to the time when this or any government in this country decides to disarm the American people and begin imprisoning people because of their dissent much of the fighting would be in the streets - citizen against citizen and there would be many in the military with those big guns and other weapons who would NOT back the administration.


    It is a scenario that I hope never plays out but the point is that it would NOT be just the government against its citizens.
