Let me help you, JohnKJR, my voice isn't that of Rush Limbaugh's so it's hard for you to comprehend the information I'm conveying here. Obviously, if it's not a hot topic on his show, you totally miss it.
Here's the shocker for you, I am a libertarian (forced fiscal conservative due to lack of candidates), who was raised in a conservative republican household, and voted for Bush. Tell me more how I'm a Bush basher. The trickery was meant entirely for you to read it, so I could see how you react when you're not just using other people's graphs and copy and pasting show transcripts from national conservative talkshows, and you failed miserably. Bush was a great president, wasn't he? After the worst attack in American history, he didn't have a repeat, bravo. Adult stem cells are more useful than embryonic, hallelujah! I want you to name one other area he performed admirably. Thanks for stopping by :)
How has the PATRIOT act effected me personally, well when you're an entrepeneur who lives in the United States and deals with other businesses who are in a foreign country, your problems were increased exponentially with that legislation, specifically in the transferring of funds. Despite my business being entirely private, it gives the government full reign to come in and see what's going on, and even impeding certain transactions so they can "make sure everything is up to par." I don't even fly on airplanes, I'm sorry to the other who posted about the long lines in the airports, and that doesn't effect me personally.
For those who were talking about legalization of medical marijuana as "not a hot button," or "most people are against the legalization" -- I want anyone to reply here why those with serious illness should be denied this kind of treatment. This is not about legalization across the board. If you want to talk about legalization across the board, maybe you conservatives would do yourselves a favor in this area to do a little research on your history, your beloved "founding fathers" who put the declaration of independence on hemp paper, were not only drunk while authoring the document on hemp paper while growing the crop on their own properties, it is also widely accepted they stuffed it in their pipes as well as tobacco. Even reaching hilarious levels, when before signing many in the chamber reported to hear voices from entities telling them it was the right thing to do.
Now let's get to cap and trade, you conservative whiners.. If it's raising taxes on everybody, like you all rant and rave, then why are you against this legislation? I hear conservatives telling me non-stop how "the top 2 percent pay 60% of the tax load" blah blah blah... so what's the problem with everyone's taxes going up to pay for the government? You want to know why Hannity, Limbaugh, and other top 2%ers are against this legislation? It doesn't provide tax shelters.
Conservatives have that argument right, the higher the taxes, the more likely those with the incomes will abuse tax shelters whether legal or not.. and this legislation throws roadblocks in so many places it makes escaping it almost impossible, and they don't want to pay their attorneys another seven figures to figure out ways around it, and trust me they will.
I'm libertarian, and against this cap and trade legislation, but I have serious doubts about it's trip to the senate. Those who replied with the hot button comment, and how it effects your every day life, remember that when your voice is drowned by Limbaugh clones who haven't seriously considered their views outside of his 3 hour radio show.
My post was more about how I've personally contacted representatives on almost every level about legislation HERE IN MISSOURI, just to get the damned bill to committee, so the legislative process can take place. That doesn't concern you, Limbaugh didn't cover it last week.
That is how it effects your "every-day" life, these elected officials work for us, and answer to us, and they won't even let the process do it's job, blinded by their political views.
JohnKJR or however it's spelled, again I ask the question, other than posting here and wasting a lot of people's time copy and pasting conservative comments, what have you done? Give me one example where you've contacted an elected official about this Cap and Trade, or anything else you've posted, and I will get behind you 100%. Otherwise you're just another person who feels satisfied by ruining the Fox4 blogging community with close-minded political garbage.
I would like to end that with one word from one of his posts, in case some of you think I'm out of line here, "FrankeNazi." Cute.

I would like to respond to your post on a subject where I am considered an expert and have 33 years experience; International Finance. As a quick background, I have been trading currencies, commodities, equites and bonds internationally my entire business life, and facilitate companies moving funds internationally; long before the Patriot Act and ever since it.
You wrote: "How has the PATRIOT act effected me personally, well when you're an entrepeneur who lives in the United States and deals with other businesses who are in a foreign country, your problems were increased exponentially with that legislation, specifically in the transferring of funds. As a business, the Patriot Act requires your financial institution to broaden its reporting and record retention of cross-border transfers, not the business. OFAC has existed for decades and has always checked "where" and to "who" monies were being transferred. Customs has always checked import and export transactions, nothing new there.
So, when you say "exponentially", I'm curious just how you come to that conclusion. Perhaps you could direct me to the section of the Patriot Act that you are referring to. I would referr you to Title III, which when you read you will come to understand that businesses DO NOT transfer monies internationally, financial institutions do, on behalf of their clients.
madmatt6773, 4 months ago | FlagI work for a living too, I'm just not a member of the far right nazi's or far left commie's. HEIL LIMBAUGH! LOL
JohnKJR, 4 months ago | FlagI am not sure why you and other (couple) people feel I repeat Limbaugh or other radio talk show hosts because I don't. I do not get to listen to the radio when I work for a living during the day.
If possibly you would listen to one of those shows; then maybe you would know that the information and posts I post have NEVER come from any of them. If it helps you to emotionally place me in a certain type of box for you to wrap your mind around what I post; then so be it. You also have the option of not reading it.
I am flattered that you would write an entire post devoted to me for some silly reason but I think your time would be best served becomming informed instead of just opinionated.
However the phrase "Bush Derangement Syndrome" is not mine nor Limbaugh's that I am aware. I first heard of it 6 years ago to describe the people who were constantly deriding Bush with Chimpy cartoons. Though our current resident of The White House looks much more like a chimp than Bush ever did. Check out those ears.
madmatt6773, 4 months ago | FlagLLO9... I aggre with you on Maobama, he scared me way before he was elected. Just because far right extremists
